Alicante/El Campello

After Madrid we took the train to Alicante where we had rented a beach apartment for two months. El Campello is a beach town, and we were on the waterfront. The boardwalk was only about a mile long, but with restaurant after restaurant. The apartment was a typical beach getaway with IKEA style furniture and a beautiful view from the balcony to enjoy the sunrise if we were awake early or the moonrise if your timing was perfect.

The other nice thing about the location was the coastal tram which ran up to Alicante, When we visited the bigger city we found their market building full of three floors of products. One floor was the fish markets, one floor was the meat markets, and one additional section for fruit and vegetables. Outside in the back was a large flower market.

      Maria,
Check out the Barcelona post as the market photos are over the top. You will have to go into the archived months and select Barcelona.
